Solar Roadways could provide a proper infrastructure for electric vehicles of all sizes to operate with out range limitations.

Converting our roads to solar roadways with a smart grid, would not only save our environment and lives, it would create millions of jobs around the world.

Solar parking lots will come first and would be great attraction at a Wallmart, Cosco or an amusement park, the options are endless.

The most important obstacle of solar roadways to over come, was the ability for the solar panels to be able to hold the weight of a 80,000 pound semi truck rolling down the road.

The glass panels developed  for the solar roadway have been tested for impact resistance, traction and load testing, all tests were off the charts,  with traction beyond that of asphalt.

The glass used for the solar panels, is designed to stay clean and not to scratch.

 

Each panel has One large hexagon pattern and several smaller hexagon macro texture patterns, used for traction and to reflect light direct onto the solar panels.

The smaller hexagons have 6 sides and angles and are on a 45 degree angle to form a prism, so no matter where the sun is in the sky, the prism bends the light directly onto each solar panel.

The led lights under the hexagon prisms are reflected in six directions so you cant miss them.

The solar roadway is heated when cold to remain clear of snow and ice, all winter long, saving money in lost time and productivity, vehicle maintenance, repair and it will save the lives of both people and wild life.

The solar road is equipped with pressure sensors that will notify the driver to slow down if a pedestrian or wild life is about to enter onto the road.

 

The solar panels will be 12 ft. long by 36 ft. wide and hope to power about 240 homes each.

Each solar panel has a micro computer attached that can communicate wirelessly with each solar panel and with vehicles traveling above, with the right devices.

Each panel communicates with each other and if one solar panel breaks down, the panels beside will report in real time, to the operation center, so it can be fixed very fast.

 

A cable corridor follows the solar roadway and gives you a very intelligent smart grid capability that can be equipped with power lines, cable, high speed internet and phone service, the options are endless.

 

A channel collects toxic waste water along the roadway from vehicles, and from lawn fertilizer etc.

The channel follows the solar roadway and has a series of pumps and check valves, so the water can be treated on the spot or routed to a filtration center for purification, again there are many options that hope to keep the pollution out of our water ways.

This waste water along our roads, flow directly into our waterways, (accounting for 50% of water pollution) and it would be very important for our future, to treat these waste waters first.

    Fast Solutions to Climate Change 7 steps

    I think these technologies below are our best chance to reduce fossil fuel consumption and Co2 emissions very fast if we invest in the research and remove road blocks.

    The governments of the World seem more interested in making the elite even richer then investing in eco friendly solutions that can reduce emissions faster then they think possible.

    (LENR) Low Energy Nuclear Reactions :

    We have a unlimited fuel supply for LENR and it is considered The Holy Grail of Clean Energy.

    We should be investing billions in the research of the entire LENR spectrum of technologies.

    We should be investing in companies like :

    BlackLight Power a fuel company for LENR technologies that shows great promise to provide emission free electricity on a large scale to power our factories and small scale for transportation of all types.

    Brillouin Energy a LENR related company that is working on the final issues of a 1 for 1 replacement for coal & other burning systems in power plants and also has applications for heating buildings from houses to large factories, with no emissions.

    The Patterson Fuel Cell looks very promising and also should receive research money on a large scale.

    Industrial Heat with The E Cat looks very promissing and should also receive research grants on a large scale.

    The World has spent billions on various clean energy technologies with no results, LENR systems have produced stable temps of 600 C and are near their goal of producing clean electricity on a large scale and have received very little funding in comparison.

    LENR is also very viable for desalination of water, with no emissions.

    Hemp should make a return again as the # 1 crop for farmers of the world.

    Hemp is also very good for absorbing Co2 and you can grow 3 crops a year in the right climate.

    Hemp will replenish the soil and is used to make plastic 10 x stronger then steel, paper, wood can be made of Hemp, and so can a Hempcrete?, ( a light weight replacement for concrete), also the number one supper food in the world is I believe made of hemp.

    PS. you could smoke a mountain of Hemp and you would not catch even a small buss.

    MYTH : people could mix pot in with the hemp to hind it: If you were to spread Hemp seeds everywhere by plane it would take over and totally reduce the potency of pot to a point where no one would smoke it, because there would be no buss.

    Fact about pot : no one has ever died from smoking pot and can be easily detected and regulated by police for impaired drivers

    Also pot oil made from the high grade kush plant maybe a cure for cancer and some other diseases, and is harmless when compared to cigarettes and alcohol which kills millions and is legal almost everywhere.

    Graphene can hold a lot of energy and release that energy very fast and more important recharge very fast.

    I forgot to mention Defkalion with the LENR companies and they also show great promise and they are located in Vancouver Canada.
    The Canadian government is investing in Defkalion, but in my opinion only a very small fraction of what we should be.
    But what can you expect from Harper, he is about as eco friendly as a burning oil well.
